This collaboration by Meier Unger and OODD studios combines the architect duo’s structural, spacial vision with the textile artists’ sense of lightness. In Between plays on the idea of Fake/ Authentic. Neither a piece of furniture nor an actual artwork, it is something in-between. The materials it is made from emphasise on the very same idea: hand painted wood mimicks Indian marble, and, at closer inspection, the industrial-looking mesh layers of the illuminated column are in fact delicately crafted textiles by OODD studios, where every single one of the 14.980 dots is extruded by hand.
